2020 Valley Soccer Association Annual General Meeting Announcement

VSA ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING                           


The annual general meeting of the VSA will take place on Saturday, November 14, 2020 from 9:00am to 12:00pm at the Legends Centre in Warman. All members are welcome to attend. Each town association is allowed two voting delegates. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, we are limited to the number of attendees. All attendees MUST pre-register by NOON on November 13, 2020!




Both the Membership Renewal form and Directors Insurance form will need to be completed and returned along with required documentation by November 14th. Please bring along with you to the AGM, or scan and email all documents to vsainfo@valleysoccer.ca prior to the deadline. These were sent out to all town associations/clubs on Friday, September 4, 2020 with the announcement of the AGM.


If the Directors Insurance form, Member Renewal form (including the supporting documents requested on the form), and any outstanding fees have not been received by November 14th, the board may change your membership status to not in good standing prior to the AGM, which could jeopardize your eligibility to vote.




The VSA is seeking nominations for one board Officer position and multiple board Director positions to be elected at the upcoming AGM in October. We are looking for individuals who are committed to the mission of organizing and furthering the development of soccer by providing access to quality programs for all interested in the valley area and beyond.


We are currently seeking nominations for the following board member positions:


  1. President (Officer) - 1 position, 2 year term
  2. Member-at-large (Director) - multiple positions, 1 year term (Anyone is welcome to put their name forward for nomination to the position of Director.
  3. Member-at-large (Director) - multiple positions, 2 year term. Towns are required to provide representation on the board as per Schedule 1 of the VSA Bylaws. This year VUSC, Hague, Cudworth and Waldheim are required to present a name for nomination.


Nominees must be a member in good standing, be serving as an active participant, and receive a written endorsement from their member association board which must be submitted in writing to the President of the Board of Directors at least 30 days (October 15th) prior to the set date of the Annual General Meeting. You can click HERE to nominate someone for an Officer or Director position, alternately, nominations can be sent via e-mail to vsainfo@valleysoccer.ca.

So the board can complete it’s due diligence, please complete the online nomination form or forward all nominations to vsainfo@valleysoccer.ca by October 9th, 2020, however, nominations can still be sent in up until October 15th, 2020.
